Sixth grade students in Christina Corvello's sixth grade science classes at the Middle School of Plainville recently prepared an NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) lesson to teach kindergarten students in Shannon Bakaysa's class at Linden Street School. Pete Peluso, a Plainville musician and music educator, visited the Linden Street School Chorus with his accordion on June 6th. Peluso engaged students with melodies from Harry Potter films, as well as the theme from Rossini's William Tell Overture. Students clapped along and learned that the accordion is capable of more than just polka.
