Linden Librarian Information Teacher Jessica Hartung coordinated the first annual celebration of World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) at Linden on February 1st. WRAD was founded in 2010 by LitWorld to recognize reading aloud as a powerful and transformative act. Every February 1st, classrooms, schools, and school districts across the globe celebrate WRAD in exciting ways. Linden’s WRAD event featured a number of literacy based activities throughout the day, in addition to several guest readers who shared books with Linden students and classes!
