First graders at Linden Street School recently spent their day learning about Mexico. Scholars traveled from class to class, learning about landforms, the flag, money, food, and celebrations. Scholars engaged in activities to identify similarities and differences between American and Mexican cultures. The first grade teachers also got into the spirit by wearing sombreros, shaking maracas, and playing traditional Mexican music throughout the day.
