VEX IQ Robotics State Championship

The VEX IQ Robotics State Championship was held this past Saturday at the Middle School of Plainville. 54 elementary and middle school teams from throughout the state competed for eight spots that would qualify them to compete at the World VEX competition in Louisville Kentucky.

Jennifer DeLorenzo Named Assistant Principal At Plainville High School

)  Plainville High School Mathematics teacher and Instructional Leader Jennifer DeLorenzo, has been named an assistant principal, according to Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Maureen Brummett. DeLorenzo replaces former Plainville High School Assistant Principal Carl Johnson, who became principal in November.

Plainville Schools Receive Security Grant from Schaller Auto Group

Plainville Community Schools recently received a grant from the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain to improve high school security. The grant was used to purchase 23 additional security cameras at Plainville High School. The grant was funded by the Schaller Auto group.

Plainville Community Schools Director of Community Relations Lynn Davis was recognized as the district's Everyday Hero for the month of March. Davis was nominated by Plainville High School Custodian Michael Turcotte, Sr. She was honored at the March 11th Plainville Board of Education meeting.
